From Shedding to Shining: A Mindful Reflection on 2025 & Setting Intentions for 2026

From Shedding to Shining: A Mindful Reflection on 2025 & Setting Intentions for 2026

A gentle exhale for what you’ve released

If 2025 felt like a year of shedding, you’re not alone. Many traditions call it a season of transformation—like a serpent releasing an old skin so new growth can breathe. Whatever you let go of routines that didn’t serve you, rooms that needed clearing, stories you outgrew: thank it, release it, and exhale. You made space.

Step into 2026 with intention (coffee in hand)

Before the calendar turns, claim 30 quiet minutes with a warm cup. No phone. No pressure. Just you, a pen, and your future self. Intentions don’t need to be loud; they need to be true.

A 30-Minute New Year Coffee Ritual

  1. Arrive (3 min): Sit. Breathe in for 4, out for 6. Notice one thing you’re grateful for from 2025.

  2. Shedding list (7 min): What did you release this year? Habits, expectations, obligations? Write them down. Circle one you’re proud of letting go.

  3. Future-you visualization (8 min): Close your eyes. It’s Dec 31, 2026. Where are you? What does your day look like? Who’s with you? How do you feel in your body?

  4. Three intentions (8 min): Translate that vision into 3 clear intentions (e.g., “Protect my morning hour,” “Build deep community,” “Fuel my body kindly”).

  5. First steps (4 min): For each intention, list one tiny action you’ll take in the next 7 days.

Brew cue: Keep it simple, 25 g coffee : 400 g water for one calm, 12 oz mug. Sit while you sip.

  5. What does “enough” look like in my calendar, money, energy?

  6. What do I want my mornings to feel like? Evenings?

  7. Where will I choose depth over more?

  8. What would my days look like if I truly prioritized my health and joy?

  9. What am I willing to learn badly at first in 2026?
